REGISTRATION - Campers are required to register by completing the application form, have their parent/guardian sign the waiver statements, and include insurance information with a minimum deposit of $150.00.   FULL PAYMENT is required by June 1, 2008.  All checks to be made payable to:  DIG IT UP SPORTS, INC.  No refunds after June 1, 2008.   All refunds are subject to a $100.00 administrative fee and is NON-REFUNDABLE.   If a health or injury prohibits participation prior to camp a Physicians letter explaining the circumstances must accompany a written request for a refund.   E-Mail us for a brochure and/or we can e-mail a Word document registration form for your use.

CONFIRMATION - Upon receipt of camp tuition, completed application, and signed waivers and insurance information you will receive a confirmation letter with registration locations, physical health form, and additional information on travel, what to bring to camp, etc. Enrollment is limited, with applications accepted on a first-come basis until the camps are full.

TEAM CAMP COACHES -To reserve a space for your team you must contact us by phone and receive verbal acceptance followed by written confirmation. (704) 894-2722 (Leave a message) Team Camp will fill quickly.

MEDICAL CARE - All campers must have their own accident and health insurance.   DIG IT UP SPORTS, INC. and the Davidson Wildcat Volleyball Camp provides only excess coverage after your insurance has been utilized. A certified NATA athletic trainer will attend minor injuries and illnesses and is available for all camp sessions, and resides in the dormitory during camp. Campers will not be allowed to play unless the information is submitted and the forms signed by the parent or guardian of the camper. A health insurance and medical information form will be mailed to you upon receipt of your application.

HOUSING - All campers will be housed (two per room) in air-conditioned rooms on the campus of Davidson College.

MEALS - The food will be served by the Davidson College staff in its premier eating facility. Vail Commons is Davidson’s primary dining facility, with a standard fare each day serving up an impressive variety of entrees (including vegetarian), a pizza bar, sandwich bar, and salad bar.

ROOMMATE REQUESTS - We will do our best to honor your roommate requests, however, requests are not guaranteed. There are two campers to a room. If you do not have a preference, we will try to match you with someone who is your age, on your team at camp, or from your city or state.

FACILITIES - Camp sessions are conducted in the Baker Sports Complex in the Belk Arena. The 142,000 sq. ft. Baker Sports Complex, which opened in 1989, is the nucleus of Davidson’s athletic program. It features weight rooms, racquetball courts, Cannon Pool (with eight lanes, a moveable bulkhead, and separate diving well), and the John M. Belk Arena, which can seat up to 6,000 ‘Cat fans. At the Davidson Wildcat Volleyball Camp, all campers will be able to enjoy the campus experience of Davidson College and the quaint community of the Town of Davidson. While experiencing intense volleyball competition and training, you will also enjoy the greater Charlotte community, the Town of Davidson, Davidson College.

TRAVEL - Directions and maps to Davidson College will be forwarded to each applicant upon receipt of your application. Campers fly into the Charlotte-Douglas Airport. Shuttle Ground Transportation to and from Charlotte-Douglas Airport and camp (just 25 minutes away) can also be provided at a cost of $30.00 round-trip. Check the box on the application form and a travel form will be sent with the registration packet to reserve space on the shuttle.

KEY DEPOSITS - Each camper is required to bring a $40 key deposit in cash or separate check. Deposits will be returned when keys are turned in.

ITEMS TO BRING TO CAMP - Lots of t-shirts, shorts and socks, kneepads, volleyball court shoes, sandals, swimsuit. Also bring bed linens, pillow, blanket, towels, alarm clock and personal items.
